VCU Health is an 865-bed academic medical center in Richmond, Virginia, which houses the region’s only Level 1 trauma center. VCU sees countless referrals and transfer patients, many of whom arrive with CDs containing medical images from another facility. The significant number of CDs coming in became a major challenge, requiring increasing amounts of staff resources.

With Life Image, image transfer is optimized with a hybrid network, allowing for faster upload to PACS and a quicker response time. Download the case study to learn about the results that VCU achieved, as well as specific use cases.

When I speak to patients, they are often concerned with their information getting to us in a timely manner. It is so nice to assure theym as to how easy the process is and that we will take care of all of it. Since the images come to us so quickly, we are often able to see our oncology patients within one week of their initial call. JOELLE KANG, MSN, RN
